A new marketing campaign, solving problems, new developments for our ERP and CRM systems, reporting, maintaining the website,… Every day provides the necessary variation and challenge, which allows me to continue to get the best out of myself. Despite not speaking Dutch when I applied, I was given the opportunity to start here and prove myself. Over the years, I have not only improved my Dutch but I have also received a lot of training, which allows me to operate multiple machines and even drive a forklift. In terms of environment, Vande Moortel is a real family business for me. There is so much diversity here, so many different nationalities and cultures, that you never feel alone. Of course, there is still room for improvement here, but you really get the chance to give your opinion, which is also listened to and any problems can be addressed.

At Vande Moortel, we work every day on real products that help people realize their dreams and plans. From raw material to the customer, we monitor quality with tests and strict controls. Our oven is constantly running, just like our dedication: quality never stands still. Together with colleagues who all share the same vision and drive, we pull together. Thanks to this strong team spirit and hands-on mentality, we make unique bricks that give each project character and individuality. The best thing is that you see what you are doing it for every day: you see our bricks everywhere in the streets, and we can be really proud of that.

For 25 years I have been helping to build the future of our brickworks. What was supposed to be my first step on the job market has become a long-term project. A day at Internal Sales is varied and I love the contact with customers, which gives me satisfaction. My passion for other languages is a bonus here. The atmosphere among colleagues is great. Everyone is always ready to help each other. We are given the freedom to organize our work ourselves and even improve it where necessary, with the interests of the customer in mind.
