Who are our Brickmakers?

“I never know what the day will bring, and that is one of the reasons why I love this job so much. A new marketing campaign, solving problems, new developments for our ERP and CRM systems, reporting, maintaining the website,… Every day provides the necessary variation and challenge, which allows me to continue to get the best out of myself. That gives me a lot of satisfaction. We are a small but close-knit team and I find that important. We can laugh and have fun together. I go the extra mile for my colleagues and the company every day with great pleasure.”

Despite not speaking Dutch when I applied, I was given the opportunity to start here and prove myself. Over the years, I have not only improved my Dutch but I have also received a lot of training, which allows me to operate multiple machines and even drive a forklift. In terms of environment, Vande Moortel is a real family business for me. There is so much diversity here, so many different nationalities and cultures, that you never feel alone. Of course, there is still room for improvement here, but you really get the chance to give your opinion, which is also listened to and any problems can be addressed.

"A good clarkman is smooth, social and has a good memory, being a bit flexible is also important. I have always been a clarkman and have stood on every corner, I have even been a stone setter for a while. Recently I became a warehouse shift leader. It is completely different from what I expected, and I did not think that there was so much involved, but I like being a shift leader. I am therefore happy that I was able to take this wonderful step. Teamwork is one of the most important things. It is only by working together that you move forward.
